We really loved our stay at the Red Ohana. We felt secluded but close enough to Waimea for groceries and restaurants. The beaches are 10 minutes away and the Hawaiian people are helpful and friendly. The house was the perfect size for us. My adult son is a night owl so he LOVED the privacy of being downstairs. The beds and bathrooms were very well appointed and the Island spirit was evident throughout the house! Do yourself a favor, forget the big resorts on the coast and relax in a local setting of beauty and tranquility here. Thank you Laura for being such a responsive host. Hope to come back soon.

A very beautiful home nestled between Mauna Kea and the Kohala mountain range. Old Hawai'i charm in a modern day world. Minutes away from Hawaiian Style cafe and Hapuna beach. You will not be disappointed with the Red Ohana home.

모든 게 깨끗해서 좋았어요. 침대도 편해서 잠을 푹 잘 수 있었어요. 주변에 음식점 등 가게가 있어서 편했어요. 폴롤루 계곡으로 가는 길이 환상적으로 아름다웠고 마후코나 비치로 접근도 훌륭했어요. 덕분에 빅아일랜드 여행의 좋은 추억이 되었습니다.

My family and I had a great time staying at Red Ohana - it’s really a fantastic place and was exactly what we needed as a base for exploring the big island and being close by to a family wedding. The property itself is very well situated, only a 5 minute drive from Waimea town which we visited regularly for coffee and breakfast (order the side of special pancakes at Hawaiian Style Cafe…!) and has a CVS and grocery store. The house was super clear and very well equipped - we cooked a few meals in the kitchen and it was perfect. Communication with Laura was great and we did a self-check in and check out which was super easy. Would highly recommend Red Ohana to anyone visiting Kona.
