This spacious and comfortable first and second floor apartment is situated in a desirable location within the picturesque coastal village of Lynmouth, on the banks of the East Lyn River and just a two minute, level stroll from the delightful village centre. Church View occupies the entire first floor of the building with access to the property at the rear. Stairs lead up from the ground floor to a landing area which opens onto to the rest of the property. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and comfortably furnished throughout, with night storage and electric heaters to provide year round warmth. Two good sized double bedrooms offers views across the river to wooded hillsides, with one benefitting from an en-suite shower room, then a further twin bedroom. The property is situated above a building that was once a tea room and is close to an array of cafés, shops, pubs and restaurants, all within walking distance. The apartment is just a short stroll to the picturesque harbour, with a pebble beach offering outstanding coastal views. Delightful countryside and coastal walks surround the property with National Trust’s Watersmeet nearby, and beauty spots including the Valley of the Rocks, the Hunter’s Inn and the Doone Valley only a short scenic drive away. The famous water powered cliff railway, road or exhilarating cliff side footpath allow access to the further amenities in the village of Lynton, including a cinema, bowls and tennis courts. This is an ideal location for those wanting to explore the splendour of Exmoor on foot or on horseback (riding stables nearby), or by car, and allows easy access to the rugged coastline, spectacular beaches and character villages and towns of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Lovely flat in a great location. Local amenities are all a stones throw away. The owner was very polite and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to return!
The place was very nice with a super location. Much quieter than we thought it might be. Basic supplies were a bit sparce for a foreign visitor arriving. No hand or bath soap of any kind, only the last bit of a bottle of dish soap. All in all, a great week.
A lovely, well equipped, clean place to stay. It has everything you need to self cater. We enjoyed lots of walks nearby & made good use of the Exmoor Coaster open top bus which runs from Lynmouth to Minehead. (£10 for the day). The local information centre along the Esplanade is very helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
