Helen's place was absolutely perfect for what I needed. I was looking for an overnight stay near Nelson that would allow me to do all the outdoor activities I had planned but be peacful and comfortable to work remotely in the evening. I couldn't have found a stay that ticked all these boxes as much as Helen's immaculate private place. She was so helpful with recommendations and a tour of the surrounding area let alone the place being so relaxing with thoughtful touches - the continental breakfast with homemade jam and local honey was incredible. I will definitely stay again the next time I am near Hira!

Absolutely beautiful setting to spend a couple of nights. The wee unit is compact but cosy and had everything we needed. Helens homely touches and little extras were most welcome. The best value for money on our trip this week!

Great self contained room. Had everything you needed and then some. Breakfast was an awesome extra. Only 15min from Nelson and really peaceful in the countryside. Will try to stay again next time I’m down

We unfortunately didn't get to stay with Helen due to our ferry being cancelled. Helen was so sweet, worked with us, and made us feel better on an already frustrating day. I hope we can come back another day!

One of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed at....breakfast with a stunning view, lunch with the cows, goats and chicken and the milkyway at night- wonderful!!
