So great to be back in Gimmelwald! This is the ideal Swiss chalet hotel. Be sure to try their beer.

Beautiful surroundings. Very cozy and warming vibe. The beer and hot chocolate were delicious. Leaving a 4 due to the lack of hair dryer in the room, also the wifi does not work in room 6. Other than that the service is great and you can tell they care about their guests.

We loved staying at the Pension Gimmelwald - gorgeous surroundings, plentiful hiking, and Sabine and company were super friendly and helpful. This is mountain lodging in a small car-free town, so definitely on the rustic side, but that was part of what we enjoyed about our stay. Fantastic breakfast, and solid three-course dinner options (pizza also available next door and other options in Murren, an easy cable-car ride away). We stayed in a room with a private bathroom but the shared bathroom/showers seemed just fine too. On our second night there were a few people singing and playing guitar by the fire in the dining room - we sang along too! Wonderful stay, would love to go back again.

Sabine’s place was amazing. It is a beautiful hotel in the mountains with the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen. She made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was immaculate and so cosy. Sabine and her staff were so helpful with recommendations and we also loved discussing the history of the surrounding area. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a getaway in the mountains to stay here. 10/10 in all aspects

Spectacular views and super peaceful place. Just can’t describe the beauty of this place. Pictures don’t do justice. If you really love nature, you will be literally surrounded by mountains in the middle of the alps. Happy to say that our stay was beyond what we were looking for :) Nice staff, great service and one of the best homemade lemonades I’ve ever tried. Don’t forget to visit their honest shop too!!!
