It’s not often one can find king sized beds and private bathrooms for each of the rooms listed. (As well as the full sized bed with handicap accommodations on the first floor!) This location had everything needed for our family of all adults including the pool table and beach access that was beyond incredible! We would stay at any place Michele has to offer! She was a gem!

The Lazy shark was a perfect relaxing get away for my wife and I and our dog, incredible sunsets, unobstructed view of the ocean, modern well maintained hot tub and easy beach access. Would also be good for 4 couples or 2 families as the 4 bedrooms are all en suite and large. Good space to work remotely in an office overlooking the ocean and fast wifi if that’s what you need :-) Gold Beach is not a huge town but had a few decent coffee shops, takeout/ food trucks and 2 good sized grocery stores. Also only a 20 minute drive from probably the most scenic beach in Oregon (Meyers Creek) and just over an hour to the California redwoods.

We met up with family over the Thanksgiving weekend (5 adults, 2 kids and a dog) and had a fantastic time! The house looks better than the photos and the location was 10/10. We loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom and it was very soundproof between rooms. We had some maintenance hiccups that Michele and her maintenance person were on top of - even on Thanksgiving Day - and they seemed sincerely concerned about our comfort. Iʻm also in the hospitality industry and know that issues happen but itʻs how you respond that counts and we were very satisfied with how Michele addressed everythig. We brought a catered meal to heat up in the kitchen and we had ALL the dishes needed. It was the best-stocked Airbnb kitchen weʻve ever had. She also left a roasting pan for us! The beach was a 1 minute walk from the house. The beach was incredible and we only saw a handful of people the whole stay. A+ stay & weʻre already planning our next stay!

This house is in a beautiful location with great ocean views from almost every room. One can walk out the back door directly to the beach. The stretch of beach is also very nice. During our stay, there were very few other people on the beach. It was our private paradise. The house was stocked with almost everything one would want. There were plenty of spices, the bathrooms had all of the essentials, except no trash basket in at least one bathroom. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee and no filters. We have never stayed in an AirBNB that did not have coffee on hand. It may be the case that the previous guests took the coffee. In general, very spacious, clean and in a great location.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Numerous walks to and on the beach. Kitchen was stocked with basic needs. Could use some mixing/serving bowls. There’s a coffee pot and a blender and toaster but you would need to bring any other appliances, such as a waffle iron. The bedroom set ups were very nice with each having its own bathroom. We had a wheelchair user in our group and he was able to get around the house just fine. We did have a wonderful stay and wound rent again if we went back to Gold Beach.
