Good news: you just found the perfect place. Yes, a spacious and welcoming house directly in front of the sea, 3 acres of preserved nature, a lot of privacy, stable WIFI, restaurants nearby and hosts that will do their best. So imagine waking up in a breathtaking landscape and a luxuriant nature. Hear the waves talking, the birds singing, feel the ocean breeze in your hair and the sun on your skin, its calm, it’s beautiful. That’s the relax beach experience. Welcome home. Time to enjoy your new beach home. It's big. It's private. It's clean and it basically has everything you need. The only thing left to do is enjoy some quality time with your loved ones. Your house is 70m2 big split into two floors, each with its separated bedroom and private bathroom. The difference is that on the first floor you have a fully equipped kitchen and on the second floor a big terrace. Thanks to the constant ocean breeze and the traditional palm roofing, you will stay fresh and sleep like a baby. Oh, and be careful with the two hammocks on the terrace, once you get in, it's very difficult to step out =) Of course, we also have WIFI! We have a stable 10MBPS connection that should work fine for almost everything. In case of a power shortage (that happens from time to time here) we invested in an UPS and a Power Generator, so that it doesn't affect you. The property is really huge which is awesome because it's filed with plants and fruit trees that you can harvest and enjoy. It also gives you a wonderful feeling of privacy. This is further enhanced by the fact that the beach in front of the property is almost private. Because yes, in Colombia, all beaches are public, but because of the geography and the fact that the access that is only possible through the properties or by boat, it becomes private. The beach right in front is small and sometimes when the tide is high it can disappear for a couple of hours, but if you walk 100m to the left you will find dry sand. The ocean here is safe, we never experience strong currents and the waves are never dangerous.

Stop looking and book this place! By far one of the best Airbnb experiences. Simon and Angelica were so friendly and helpful with recommendations and tips of how to arrive and what to do. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The house is basic, just as in the pictures but all you need to be comfortable and chill out. Right on the beach, it's perfect for a weekend getaway to relax and do absolutely nothing! Can't wait to go back!
La casa de playa de Angélica y Simón es perfecta para desconectarse y disfrutar de la playa y la naturaleza. El lugar es un sueño y tiene los mejores atardeceres. Son unos anfitriones maravillosos, pendientes de cada detalle, nos dieron muy buenas recomendaciones de actividades para hacer en la zona y de restaurantes locales. Nos prestaron su Kayak y nos enseñaron a usarlo, también nos enseñaron de compost. Fuimos con nuestra hija perruna y nos recibieron con los brazos abiertos. 1.000% recomendado si buscan unas vacaciones de playa inolvidables.
Where to start?! The property was beautiful and private with lots of birds and butterflies. We loved learning how to harvest fruits off the trees and enjoyed our daily visits with the dogs and cats. The house was just what we needed with plenty of space to work and relax and everything was clean and comfortable. Simon was full of information about transportation, activities, and restaurants. Our kids will never forget their first surf lesson, and enjoyed hours of fun boogie boarding right in front of the property! La Rada is so close, with anything you might need for a couple of days. It is clean, with the friendliest people! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to order a homemade dinner right to the house from restaurant Yaneth - you won’t be disappointed! We enjoyed a sunset drink and incredible views from the Mirador hotel. The mud volcano was a fun and unique experience as well. A highlight was our day trip to Isla Fuerte! Thanks Simon and Angelica for being such incredible hosts!

A private beach, restaurants close by, a small store at 500m, supermarkets at 15min drive, exuberant nature, nice walks and a lot of fun activities and beautiful places to discover in the neighborhood.
Your house a facing Isla Fuerte, one of the best islands that Colombia has to offer. It´s perfect for a day trip and some snorkeling. Local fishermen will pick you up in the garden.
At 800m we have a Mud Volcano, which is a … special, relaxing and funny experience.
Right in our Backyard, you can surf and body board when the waves are on. We can also speak with local fishermen if you want to go on a fishing trip or discover the nearby mangrove.
If you drive 5 minutes to the north or the south, you will find some very beautiful and big sand beaches in playa Shanghai and playas del viento. You can also reach those beaches walking.
To move around, you have two main options: your own car, or with cheap moto-taxis or taxis. We have the contact of several drivers and could help you contact them.
Also you might see a bus or two cruising the road, but they aren´t a very reliable way to move, except to go to and from the airport in Monteria or to Lorica, Cartagena, and Coveñas.
Sure, you can also walk around it´s calm, safe and beautiful.
Good news: if you arrive by plane to Monteria, you will be able to catch a bus to Monitos which will leave you in the entrance of “Bahia Rada” where we will pick you. The bus costs around 25.000 to 30.000 COP per person. And for 220.000 COP, a taxi will leave you in front of our door.
We also have a trusted driver and could help you organize the airport pick up.
