We've just got home from a family break, with teenagers, grandparents, and a dog. We've all had a super time. We love Northumberland for the beaches and big skies. This cottage was a perfect base for our stay, with easy access to all the coastline. The grandparents were particularly taken by the extent of the 'welcome hamper' selection, as there were lovely local products that they wouldn't have tried otherwise, but subsequently purchased in the shops. We enjoyed the coast through the days, and the cottage was lovely and cosy throughout the evenings. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked, so it was really easy to put on a big family meal for everyone. There's enough showers and bathrooms for all, even a hose outside to clean the dog! Anne and Simon have really thought of everything. A super week.

We loved staying at No 1 Kentstone. The cottage was extremely comfortable and suited our family of 6 adults and one dog. We had sunny afternoons sat in the garden and cosy evenings around the log burner. All the instructions were easy to follow and the welcome basket was very generous. Very comfortable beds and it really felt like home from home. The location is perfect for exploring the area. Good walks and runs from the door and short drives to some outstanding places to visit. Anne and Simon recommended The Black Bull for an Easter Sunday lunch and we were so impressed we returned there for another meal. This is the best cottage we have stayed in. Anne and Simon have thought of everything (and then some). An amazing cottage and highly recommended.

A huge thank you to Anne and Simon for an amazing stay. The cottage was beautiful, absolutely spotless and had everything we could possibly need, plus more! The welcome hamper with local treats was very much appreciated and the thoughtful touches to help accommodate both us and our dog were fantastic. The location of the cottage is great - easy to get to from the A1 and convenient for loads of trips and attractions. We even enjoyed a day out to Edinburgh on the train from Berwick, despite Storm Ciaran’s best efforts! We didn’t have the best weather, but the cottage was comfy and cosy, especially with the log fire, a glass of wine and a box of chocolates! We’re looking for an excuse to return asap!

We had an absolutely lovely relaxing and extremely comfortable week staying in Anne and Simon’s beautiful cottage; the lovely stone cottage is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need, a home from home! The welcome hamper of luxury groceries and lovely Prosecco were a real treat, as were the luxurious bathroom toiletries, making our stay all the more special. The cottage was lovely and clean, and very warm and cosy with comfortable beds, and a log burner laid ready for our use for cosy evenings in! Location wise it was ideal for us, been extremely peaceful but only a mile or so from the main A1 and only a little further to the sea, so very handy to get around to visit places of interest. We would definitely recommend a relaxing stay in this lovely cottage, Anna and Simon were excellent hosts and in responding to any communications and we would definitely stay here again when we next visit Northumberland! Places to visit, a must: Cragside, National Trust.
