The villa occupies an impressive location overlooking the village of Maureillas yet is less than 10 minutes walk away. A detached, 2-storey villa with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms set in 2000m3 of garden. All bedrooms are spacious doubles. The kitchen is large and modern and the living room is also huge. Doors from both kitchen and living room lead out onto the terrace from where there are panoramic views . Swimming pool is 4m x 10m and located just below the house on the next terrace. The villa has been completely renovated and modernised over the last 3 years. There is underfloor heating to all rooms at ground level and bedroom 3 on the upper level. A huge fireplace in the living room creates extra heat when needed. The garden is on 3 sides of the house and the pool is on the terrace below accessed by fairly steep stone steps. Views from upper terrace and pool terrace are fantastic. There is a built-in outside barbeque on the dining terrace.

Fantastic villa with lots of space, very clean and nicely designed bedrooms, living spaces and kitchen and great outdoors spaces including a lovely pool. Roger is really welcoming, providing lots of great tips to the local area and helping out with any questions we had. We would definitely recommend the villa and will be back!

It was a pleasure to spend a week at Roger’s house, outstanding views , amazing welcoming and hospitality, clean house and lovely pool. It feels as a real house where people live with all necessary furniture and not just a rental house , should have stayed a week longer. Thanks Roger

Maureillas is a large village with 2 bars and a superb little restaurant with outside terrace. One of the bars also serves reasonably priced food and hosts many music events all year round. There is a boulangerie for bread, croissants etc and a well-stocked Spar minimart.
4km away is the town of Ceret which has many restaurants, including a Michelin star establishment. Ceret is also home to the Museum of Modern Art and exhibits works by Picasso, Matisse and Miro who all lived and painted in the area. The Saturday market in Ceret is a must-do. The cherry festival is held early June (Ceret is famed for its early and especially luscious cherries). The main festival (feria) is in the middle of July when the bands and musicians take to the streets to create a vibrant party atmosphere.
Beaches are to be found about 20-25km away at and stretch 30km from Argeles to Canet. Collioure, at about the same distance, is a popular fishing port with medieval ruins and plenty of very good restaurants as well as town beaches.

出行信息

The buses in the region all cost 1 euro per journey. From Maureillas there are 6 buses a day into Perpignan, the nearest city ans also buses to other towns within the department. Trains run close to the coastline in either direction from Perpignan. Walking is popular in the area and there are many marked hiking (randonnées pédestres) trails nearby.
