Bula!! Absolute best location if you want to scuba dive or snorkel with fantastic dive shop 10 min walk down the beach at octopus resort. Knox made sure I was never hungry and welcomed me a part of the family, many of whom I met during my stay. His home provides a rustic yet genuine Fiji experience. With the added bonus of the luxurious octopus resort a short walk away if you want an afternoon drink or to socialize with other travellers or the amazing resort staff. I made 6 boat dives during my stay … we saw too many fish to name, the most beautiful coral, a not to scary sized shark and few turtles! Amazing! The boys at the dive shop take care of everything so you can just enjoy the experience. I can’t wait to return… Fiji and the Waya island truly is a paradise. Thanks again to Knox and his entire family for welcoming me. As a solo single woman traveler I felt safe and secure. Everyone always made sure I was okay and had everything I needed. Vinaka!!!

This is an incredible place to stay - right on the beach and you basically have the whole strip of beach to yourself until you get down to the resort area. Knox is super friendly and welcoming and is an excellent cook. Everything looks like the photos - I will say that the price seems a bit high for what's included, especially since you have to pay extra for food. It's definitely living like a local, so there's only one light for the whole place and it's solar powered, and you can charge your phone using solar power but that's about it. Don't expect a fan or anything that requires electricity! (And it was quite hot when I was there.) Also, bring your own towels, soap, etc. It was nice that I was able to hang out at the resort, which is about a 10 minute walk down the beach). Plus the water in the area is great for snorkeling. If you'd like a taste of local living right on an amazing beach, this is the spot.

Knox’s place is a secluded, quiet and beautiful paradise. The house and facilities are basic but has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful with lush forest behind and an almost private beach in front, perfect for snorkelling and swimming. Our favourite activity was simply slowing down and enjoying the scenery and disconnect from the comfort of the hammock. The nearby Octopus Resort has some additional facilities if needed. Knox was an ultra friendly and welcoming host who was happy to share his knowledge and stories. We loved spending time with him and his family and will definitely be back to stay.

Der gesamte Aufenthalt war einzigartig :-) das Essen, die Menschen, die Umgebung, einfach alles. Wir würden es jedem weiterempfehlen, dort zu übernachten und mit der Familie zu leben ! :-)
