Lovely cabin - truly a home from home, very well equipped, clean and comfortable. I could live in the cabin! The only thing for me was the outside area, though lovely, it did not feel very private. Other cabins were very close and you could hear conversations etc (not an issue at all when inside). Not a problem in itself but not what I thought I had booked (my fault for not double checking). This place would be perfect for a family getaway.

The Snug is a great little place on an estate crammed with many similar cabins, but it's peaceful. Beautiful surroundings - the lake is lovely and there's red squirrels to watch. Lots of nice touches - like a well stocked kitchen, board games, and some treats provided, which were appreciated. The Snug really is snug for 5 adults, but perfectly fine for a short stay. If we were staying longer I'd prefer a place where 5 can sit comfortably to watch a movie in the evening. The hot tub was great! Especially on a clear night for star gazing. This was our base for mountain biking days at Kielder. Handy having a hose outside to clean the bikes. We had a great roast at William de Percy nearby. Sara was friendly and quick to answer any questions we had. We'd all absolutely like to stay again and recommend it!

We loved staying at the Snug for 2 nights. We enjoyed the hot tub which we did not have to worry about heating up. A lovely welcome hamper was waiting for us and a cheeky bottle of bubbles.

We had a great stay at the Snug. The lodge setting is lovely and relaxing on a peaceful sight, surrounded by red squirrels and deer, great for entertaining our 3-year-old. The lodge itself is really nicely furnished, and has everything you need to cater for yourself. It was just a shame we were only staying 2 nights! It's in a great location to get our and explore Northumberland, like Kielder, and easy reach of the National Trust at Cragside. A really great place to stay, and would recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely peaceful and relaxing couple of days spent at The Snug. Enjoyed it so much we have booked up again for June. The red squirrels and other wildlife were amazing. Sara our host was so friendly, professional and quick to response with EVERYTHING. Thank you Sara - looking forward to returning - just hope the weather is more ‘friendly’ this time.
