I had been very clear on booking I had 4 dogs, when we arrived she was shocked on how many (2 are puppies) and began to question their size. Then said ‘oh well, it’s too late now’. This made us feel very unwelcome. The morning of our second day we saw her looking through the windows and when she spotted us said that there was an electrician that needed to check something. Not an issue but we hadn’t been informed ahead of time and felt like an invasion of privacy having her looking through the windows (no curtains or blinds), especially since she had texted me about something the night before. She could have texted to see if we were in. That night she forced herself into cabin, upsetting the dogs. All to give us a box of chocolates and hoping for a good review. We left the chocolates. We left at 6am to avoid her and her dogs. 2 of her dogs terrorised ours and tried to attack, always outside the cabin meaning ours did not want to leave to toilet. Only good thing: good beach recommended
We loved our mini break in this beautiful part of Clare. There's so much to do and see. We had the weather on our side too. Location of the cabin is central for exploring, but you will need transport. The cabin is very cosy and clean. Everything you need is in the cabin. Bernie and her lovely dogs are super hosts. We will be back!
Bernie is an incredible host. She made us feel right at home and was super accommodating. She gave us great, age-appropriate recommendations for activities with our children. She also has awesome farm animals and our kids loved getting to pet the dogs and cat multiple times a day! The bread, pasta, cereal and milk waiting for us in the kitchen was so wonderful. We felt right at home and just loved the cozy wooden cabin. Thank you for an unforgettable experience, Bernie!!
Great base for walking in the Burren. Close to lahinch too . very cosy lodge with wonderful views . Everything you would need is provided . We will definitely be back !
