Lovely petite 3 bedroom house, just off Wharf Road, in the heart of beautiful Stamford, with parking. Recently redecorated and stylishly re-furnished including new beds, linen and choice of feather/polyester pillows. Downstairs through the hallway is an open plan kitchen/dining/ sitting room leading to a private patio with table and chairs. Upstairs is a double bedroom, twin bedroom, a small third bedroom with a single very comfy futon bed, and a bathroom with sink, toilet and a shower bath. The house has been recently redecorated in Farrow and Ball colours and newly furnished and styled by an interior designer, with new furnishings, mattresses, beds and bedding. Centrally located for accessing the town, but at the end of a quiet cul de sac, there is a dedicated parking space right outside the front of the house for one car (no vans) which (unlike many rentals in Stamford) is free. Downstairs, through a light hallway, is an open plan kitchen, sitting room and dining area, and a downstairs toilet. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering, with crockery, saucepans etc, an oven, microwave and large fridge freezer, plus washing machine and tumble dryer in the pantry. In the sitting room area is a large Samsung Frame TV (do not be misled into thinking it is just a picture on the wall!). We provide tea, coffee, sugar and milk on arrival. Through large glass doors spanning the back of the house is a pretty patio with outdoor seating, above which there are terraced walls as shown in the pictures. Please note it is unsafe for children to climb onto the higher walls as they could fall off onto the patio. Upstairs are two good sized bedrooms, a small bedroom for one, and a bathroom with shower bath. Hot water is provided by a combination boiler so no need to wait for hot water. The house is located in a quiet cul de sac and we ask our guests to be considerate in terms of noise levels, in particular after 9pm. Sorry, no pets!

Gorgeous home - ideal for 3-4 people. All the places in town we wanted to visit were a 5-10 minute walk away. We were there in December and the underfloor heating was such a treat - made the home feel extra cosy.
As an Ex-Pat sometimes returning for extended periods I am always on the look out for the perfect property with that home from home feeling. This is it. Location is key with an easy walk into town. Rebecca is a delightful host who accommodated an early check in and responded immediately to any questions (of which I only had one). The bed (double room) was the most comfortable I have experienced in a vacation property with a choice of feathered or allergy pillows. The bathroom was clean with quality towels and good water power. The kitchen had everything required for self catering should eating out not be your thing. A good supply of washer/dishwasher/cleaning supplies are supplied and make such a difference when traveling from afar. The pièce de résistance is the lovely sliding doors leading to a stunning courtyard garden with a dining space which also makes for a great focal point from the living space. Parking is easy for one car. Quiet neighbours. I did not want to leave!
Lovely house, spotlessly clean and smelled gorgeous! A few minor one off issues that Rebecca sorted really quickly. Just need to update all the details to say one car parking space. But easy to park in car park opposite.
A hugely enjoyable stay in a gloriously old town - just right for a family celebration. The house was spot on for four adults - one of them eighty - and a five year old. Well equipped and spotless, everything we needed was available. Lots of things to do and see together with attractive shops - and all within walking distance. Don't miss Nelson's, the butchers, who sell marvellous Lincolnshire sausages and real hand-made Melton Mowbray pork pies. We were worried about parking for two cars in a town like Stamford but we followed the instructions and it all worked out OK. In fact, we managed to park for free. A really happy weekend in very comfortable accommodation. If the opportunity arises, we would happily stay here again.

The house is situated in a cul de sac off Wharf Road, a few minutes' walk from Stamford High Street, the Meadows, the George Hotel, Burghley Park and other Stamford beauty spots, pubs and restaurants.
Stamford is a beautiful Georgian market town, packed with gorgeous cafes, restaurants, a good mixture of individual shops and more well known brands, and amazing architecture, including the famous Burghley House. You will be staying in the heart of Stamford with easy walking access to all of this, and on a Friday morning be sure to visit the vibrant Stamford Market on Broad Street and Ironmonger Street. Outside Stamford you are spoilt for choice in terms of beautiful countryside and cycle rides, including Rutland Water. But don't take our word for it, read some of the quotes in the photo of the phone box.
Stamford is easily accessible by road (the house is just a few minutes' drive from the A1) . There are parking restrictions in Stamford so it is a big bonus having a parking space for your sole use right outside the house. There is also easy access via train (the house is 5 to 10 minutes walk from Stamford train station).
Stamford is surrounded by beautiful villages. There are some lovely walks from Stamford Meadows, with maps to show you where to go. If you have a car and wish to go further afield, Rutland Water is 14 miles away and Cambridge 48 miles.
