Rodanthi’s place was lovely, spacious, and in a wonderful location. It’s just a short walk to the caldera and restaurants and shops are right out the door. We watched the sunset from the back patio. Marvelous!
If we could give 10 stars we would. From the first contact when we booked this wonderful home Rodanthe was welcoming and responsive. She helped us find local contacts for cooking classes, and tour guides, and made many excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities. The house was perfectly situated close enough to the center of Oia but had lots of privacy and plenty of space for a group of 6. The view was amazing. The history of the house and its connection to the old ways of Oia are an added bonus especially for history buffs. This host and home are well worth the visit and will make you want to come again. My family did not want to leave! Highly recommended!
Nice place in downtown Oia but not on main drag so still relatively quiet. Great neighborhood, nice view from porch, spacious unit. Host is very responsive and provided some excellent recommendations for the area.

Le logement est très propre, très confortable, calme, en retrait de la masse touristique d’Oia et avec une jolie vue sur la mer. Merci, aussi pour avoir été flexible sur les horaires tant à l’arrivée qu’au départ. Et merci à la gentillesse de votre personnel, notamment aux 2 dames qui nous ont accueilli.
We cannot say enough positive things about grandmas house. It was perfect for the five of us… and quaint with historical charm. It’s in a PERFECT spot being IN Oia yet away from the crowd. The home is beautiful and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking at home if you like. Thank you Rodanthe for a memorable and wonderful experience!!!

If I were asked to put only three words next to my name, they would be a “non-nation specific person”. I consider native soil the Balkans and the entire South-Eastern Mediterranean region. That is to say, wherever the sea can reach connecting local cultures is my own home too. Past tense: Our grandmother came from a family of seafarers who traded their wine, produced in their fields, with merchants in tsarist Russia. Her husband, our grandpa, was often away, travelling for more than eighteen months, sometimes two years; consequently, she had to run the household and vineyards by herself. Our grandma’s house was fully renovated in 2012, retaining all the external and internal features of its typical architectural style. Present tense: Nowadays, we are a small family which believes that house renting pertains primarily to HOSPITALITY and less to rental business. Travelling is an experience that ought to be enjoyed by as many people as possible. Thus we try to keep our charges as reasonable as possible. Ignoring the ongoing rebuilding process from the rubble that remained from the 1956 earthquake, we made an effort to remain faithful to the local architectural style of Oia. We believe we have created a welcoming, comfortable and inspiring home for our guests. On behalf of my family I extend a warm welcome to you. As for me: I like learning languages and translating. I also spend time drawing and making my own jewellery.
