If you're searching for a beautiful, clean, cozy, and spacious retreat near historic sites like Lincoln's birth house and Mammoth Cave (a must-visit), then Charles' Lakehouse in Sonora, Kentucky, is an excellent choice. Even though it was a short stay we are genuinely grateful for the opportunity to stay in this lovely accommodation and create unforgettable memories. Definitely a hidden gem. Thank you so much, Charles. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very accommodating for 10 people. Nice location, right off the highway. Beautiful backyard, great for a early morning walk with a cup of coffee. Loved the scenery. Fishing in the pond was nice to have when you want to relax.

My Sonora stay was good. Any hiccups I encountered were corrected. i appreciate being able to communicate with Renee, property manager & Jessica (jess) property maintenance person. The main house & guest house both have a nice view of landscaping & lake in rear of property.

House was nice and as described. Although the property was nice, there wasn’t much else on this exit as far as grocery store or fast food. My only real issue was the check in. The address sent to us went to another property up the street that was apparently owned by the same host. The instructions sent worked for both properties. Was very confusing at 9:30 in the dark. Once we found the right house and bough, everything else went smooth.
