Basil's place in Ayemanam was peaceful, beautiful and conveniently located. Basil is an excellent host.

Basil teacher, as she's known around, is one of the most meticulous hosts we've come across. The place is surrounded by lush sylvan and the Meenachil river. It's quiet and wonderful. The quarters we stayed in has such an amusing history to it. It's got beautiful furniture that are at least 70 years old. The home where Teacher resides is over 170 years old and is a stellar construction. Basil teacher is a generous and thoughtful host. We had informed her that one of us has an ankle injury, and coincidentally or not, we found an ice pack in the refrigerator. The kichenette has everything you need. Despite it, she'll happily offer coffee in the morning. The breakfast is heavenly. Special thanks to Shyamala chechi as well, who is the helper. Teacher will also tell you a bit of local history which is very interesting. In all, it was a wonderful and peaceful stay for us.

We had a lovely time at Aymanam. The place has a beautiful aura about it. The house was very clean, neat and spacious. The place gives a very Kerala vibe with greenery and a river. We slept peacefully listening to rains and nature. The breakfast provided during our stay was absolutely delicious.  Our host was prompt and helpful. She welcomed us graciously and accommodated us well even though we booked it at the last minute. We had a good time chatting with her about the history of the houses and she was kind enough to give a brief tour of her Tharavaadu (the Ancestral home). Overall, we loved our stay at Aymanam and would love to visit again.

Basils property is a little gem set on a small river of the beaten track. There is the main house and the accommodating villa which is very well maintained and has two beautiful en suite bedrooms. Basil is a great and lovely host, always helpful and friendly, we are very happy to have met her. The surrounding area is very peaceful and tranquil, so if you’re looking to relax this is the perfect place to be. From there we were headed to Alleppey, so Basil organised a Rickshaw to take us to a water taxi which is just 18 Rupees pp and takes you on a 2.5h journey through the beautiful backwaters right into town! We’d most certainly come back.

Basil place is very calm and tranquil. A great place to relax and enjoy a few days in the surrounding area. The breakfast each day was lovely and lots of it. Villa is spotlessly clean and modern!
