This Villa at Trapp Family Lodge is large and comfortable. It fullfills all the basics for a winter cross-country ski vacation and not far from Mount Mansfield for downhill skiing, and is as described. The General facility and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Fortunately we had the good fortune to have had very good weather - a bit on the cool side, but really good snow and the whole week the ski conditions were very good. A great place to gather.

Spectacular views, beautiful property. Activities calendar…something for everyone! The sleeping space/bedrooms/baths are very private and set off from the living space which is very nice and ideal when sharing with two families.

The property is as described and pictured - it's beautiful and well-kept. The location is convenient, right at the entry to the trail to the Lodge and all its activities. The house is cozy, and well-equipped for cooking, though Stowe has a ton of great restaurants.

Our whole family (mom, dad, 4 kids and grandmother, Mimi) had a great time at this very well appointed villa. The house worked out for everyone.. plenty of places for the kids to hang out, while allowing privacy for the parents in the "master suite". As the weather was on the chilly side, we took advantage of the 2 fireplaces and ample wood supply and enjoyed the ambiance of a fire going on. The kitchen was very supplied, which worked out well as we prepared most of our meals there. Many hours were spent at the kitchen table playing games of monopoly, mah jong,etc, as well as dining. The big front yard was a bonus. The Easter Bunny brought kites for everyone, so when there was a good wind, the kids were out there trying their luck. At other times, they were playing soccer, or learning how to throw a football. We also took advantage of some of the Von Trapp Lodge amenities, such as the pool and hot tub. Two of my grand-daughters had a great time at their cake decorating class, while my son-in-law thoroughly enjoyed his wooden bowl making class. Even though the ground was on the soggy side, we took a couple of hikes on the ski trails. The town of Stowe offers some fun shopping opportunities, and of course, a trip to the Ben and Jerry's plant is a must. I was so pleased when my 8 year old grand-daughter said, "When I grow up, I am going to bring my children here". I think that sums it up.. We had a wonderful week here , and were sad to leave.

Had a great trip to Brian's Villa at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT. The Villa and Trapp grounds are beautiful and maybe even better than described. Brian was fantastic to deal with and promptly answered all the questions we had. Would deal with again in a heartbeat.
