Come and stay in my friendly apartment, which is just a few minutes’ walk to Hampstead Heath, one of the most popular open spaces in London and a magical place too. If you’ve read any of the recent Hampstead detective series by G Fraser-Sampson, you find many of the picturesque locations of the area used in his books, a few landmarks e.g. Burgh House, the iconic Isokon Building (English response to the Bauhouse), whose residents included Agatha Christie. You can see Hampstead for what it is, a small alternative universe nestling in time and space. ‘It would take only the clipping of a horse to convince you that you really had walked into a parallel world.’ (Kentishtowner, January 2018) We are also one tube stop away from Camden Town, known for its alternative atmosphere, one-of-a kind place, famous for one-of a-kind population. In mid-noughties Camden was the epicentre of all that was cool, a place where teenagers waited outside legendary The Hawley Arms in the hope of catching a glimpse of our guitar heroes. Nowadays, the perception of Camden changed to teenage goths but it’s still a go-to spot for those of an alternative view. It is one of major tourist destinations, crammed with rock t-shirts, street food and souvenirs. I've lived in Camden for 24 years and work in higher education. I love to travel and have new experiences. However, I am always happy to come back home. I’m looking forward to passing some of my local knowledge as well as exploring new holiday destinations especially via Airbnb network. Hope to see you soon, Dorota
