Unfortunately, I don't think I would completely recommend this place. Location is great, photos are very accurate in that regard. Beds are extremely comfortable. Showers are strong and nice. However temperature fluctuates with the gas heating. Place feels unloved. A few hundred euro spent on a few touches - an unbroken parasol for outside. A new outdoor set with more than 4 chairs. A really thorough clean would be good - though after a few days I could see how difficult it was to manage the sand that blew in the windows and covered everything. Only having a cheap, light sweeping brush didn't help. It really needed a vacuum cleaner. It's not hot in Tarifa, however keeping windows closed at night (to keep bugs and sand out), combined with the humidity and lack of fans meant that the temperature rose very quickly indoors while we slept, and it ended up being a lot hotter indoors than outdoors. This would only be an issue at certain times of the year, of course. Installing AC, or supplying a few fans and flyscreens for the windows would help enormously. We had 3 particular issues during our visit. The first was when we arrived. We had checked before booking, and we were told by the owner that the house had private parking. After booking, I asked if we needed keys, or codes for the parking. All these questions went unanswered. When we arrived, we were told to park on the road. I felt very decieved. I insisted on private parking, as promised. The agent found some the next day, a 5 minute walk away. It was implied that we should pay an extra eur150 for this. Then we were actually asked to pay half. In the end it was paid for us. So I can say it was sorted within 24 hours, but not without a struggle. Our gas tank ran out, this was also sorted within 24 hours. And the washing machine was broken when we went to use it. Again sorted quickly. This place should have been great (certainly for almost eur2000 for 11 nights!) but it was just ok.

La casa di Jose Alfonso si trova a poche decine di metri dal mare. Questa è composta da un salone, ampio, una cucina con tutto quello che serve (tranne la lavastoviglie, ma con un lavatrice) e un piccolo bagno con doccia. Al piano superiore si trovano 3 camere da letto, tutte abbastanza spaziose (e 2 con letti matrimoniali) così come un altro bagno, più grande di quello inferiore (e anche con un bidet). infine è presente un terrazzo interno così come la possibilità di andare "sul tetto" della casa, con una vista ancora migliore del mare. Durante la nostra permanenza ci siamo trovati molto bene, non abbiamo avuto alcun tipo di problema, l'host è sempre stato reattivo e disponibile. Anche la pulizia era più che buona. In definitiva come sistemazione è più che consigliata.

Very big house on the beach! Comfy living room, and many terraces: a large one next to the living room, a huge one on the roof, and 1/2 square meter one right outside one of the bedrooms, we literally spend all the time outdoors.

Stayed a bit more than 2 weeks in Oktober. Good place. Fast communication. Noisy neighbors - morning children and chairs (you hear everything), later working on the building (I think it's temporarily). Internet is slow.
