Beautiful building and gorgeous room. I loved staying in such an old room with mid century design. The bed was so comfortable and bigger than what I thought. Thanks to the host to let me check in earlier. I’ll def go back there again. Points to consider: 1- the water in the pipes has a pretty loud sound. It didn’t bother me though. 2- if there is a bird mating outside it can be very loud inside. It happened to me. Again it didn’t bother me. 3- the listing says there is a parking but didn’t clarity you need to find the spot yourself and pay for it. That’s what it says: “5) If you are booking a flat in Washington DC, we have several parking options. Please inquire about advanced parking pass or parking space reservations.”

Great stay. On par with pricing for the area, if not a bit more reasonable. I was in the area for a conference and had early morning meetings. The metro was literally 1 block from the hotel location and easy to find and navigate even in the early AM and with schedule changes during the weekend. Mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. Location was quiet despite being in a busy, popular location and being a Victorian building (with limited insulation). Location was also very safe, which was important to me as a single traveler. Lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all were luxurious. Was an unexpected nicety to find a mini-freezer as part of the mini-fridge in the room. Absolutely adored the bakery next door as well. Will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

Unbeatable location in a historic home, close to numerous restaurants and Metro. Easy, secure access. Clean and tidy room with high quality linens and toiletries. A great spot for a single traveler or couple looking to stay in the heart of Dupont Circle.
