We had a fantastic stay at Nickolas’ house. It is a beautifully restored old family house, has everything you need, and is just as you see in the photos. The balcony is wonderful and you could just sit all day and watch the view. The house is in a great location right in the middle of the Chora and easy walking to shops, restaurants and cafes. Nickolas was a great host and we cannot recommend the house enough. Astypalea is a magical island, friendly, great beaches and a wonderful laid back self assurance.

If you want to escape and feel like you’ve come to the end of the world, this is the place. With breathtaking views, sparkling sea and understated but the warmest welcome from everyone on the island starting with Nikolas, you won’t want to leave. The house was well equipped and very comfortable

Located at the top of the Chora in a quiet and charming neighborhood, Nikolas’ house includes a western facing balcony with panoramic views of the sea, mountains, and white-washed village houses. I spent many an afternoon watching small fishing boats and stunning luxury yachts. In the evening, pink sunsets highlighted the mountain contours in the distance. And, at night, the moon illuminated the bay. Nikolas’ house includes modern amenities (Wi-Fi, air conditioner, fans, washing machine). Yet the house is styled with family heirlooms and Greek antique furniture, white lace curtains. The contrast of modern and antique is artful and appealing. The home is comfortable with open common spaces, and ideal for a couple, family, or group of friends. Included supplies of bathroom towels, a basket of food treats, refrigerator stocked with water, jams, juice. So much more such as paper and soap products, cleaning supplies, board games, beach supplies, maps. Fantastic host and house!
