I am new to Airb&b and dont let negative reviews as a whole but this experience was a little disappointing. the house was old and not well kept. Bathroom door did not shut. There was dirt on the upstairs bathroom floor. Beds upstairs creaked every time we moved and work one or the other. I'm not sure why there was excessive nat type bugs all through the house. Window ACs were not in and it was a warm evening Friday which the upstairs got really warm and it was hard to sleep. We will definitely be finding another place to stay the next time we are in the area. It was a rainy weekend so we come home early. For the price we paid it was definitely not worth the money.

Ruth Anne and her family own the store across the street. We spent a bit of time chatting with them and they are a lovely family. When using your GPS to find the home, after coming over the single lane bridge, you’ll see a mailbox for #757 on the right. It’s the next house and the driveway is after the house. It was hard to find in the dark otherwise.

Enjoyed being able to stay here while we were working at our cabin in the area. It's a beautiful location. The house was warm and spacious. There were some issues with the water, but i think the owners are working on it.

We loved staying in this roomy house. The furniture was comfortable and our family group-2 married children with spouses and 2 grandchildren - was able to spread out in the 4 bedrooms with gathering spaces in the living and dining rooms. Unfortunately on Saturday night the well water supply failed and we had to use water jugs and buckets to flush. This was not the fault of our hostess. This is a very rural house depending on ground water which might have run dry. Or It also may have been as simple as a broken water pump that could be easily replaced. Our hostess came to the rescue . Since we only had one night , Saturday, fairly late into the evening we got through it despite the serious inconvenience of having no running water. Ruth Anne did refund one night of the two night rental which satisfied us. I hope the problem can be fixed so other can enjoy the stunning beauty of Pine Creek. We also suggest a better cleaning of the floors, more space for food storage in the kitchen .

Ruth Ann and her daughter were great hosts! They also run the general store conveniently across from the house and they do offer some limited food options. Be aware that there are no other stores and the closest restaurant is about 15 minutes away. You may want to cook. The "Ranger Station" fit our needs with four bedrooms and easy access to the Pine Creek Rail to Trail. Currently, there is construction going on to repair the trail right across the street so it was noisy. If you're early risers, no problem.
