If you’re looking for a piece of paradise on Ischia, this is it! We loved coming back at the end of the day to the tranquility of the house and listening to the sound of the waves. The weather didn’t really cooperate for us most days but we ventured out anyway. Umberto is friendly, communicative and especially responsive when we accidentally locked the house but forgot to take the key. The house is absolutely beautiful and the pictures honestly do not do this airbnb justice and once you arrive, you’ll know what I mean. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal and although we shopped at the local supermarket not far away, we only bought for breakfast, lunch and aperitifs. We also visited everywhere on the island and Forio was a good pick because it’s in the middle of things. I scoured airbnb for hours before our trip and I would absolutely 100% recommend Umberto’s house! If you’re reading this, just book this and get ready for a beautiful place to stay!

We couldn’t have been happier with Umberto’s lovely home. The photos are accurate, it is right on the beach. Any closer to the water & it would be a houseboat, lol. It’s one bus stop away from the amazing Mortella gardens, which we visited twice. We really appreciated the provisions & supplies provided. DeMeglio pizza up the street is delicious. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer.

Staying at this place is a bit like visiting Paradise: A gorgeous view of the ocean and the sunsets on the one side of the house and the mountain on the other, a beach right at your feet, a lemon tree in the garden plus great beds. What’s not to like? The host and his brother are kind and attentive; we needed an extra bed sheet, and it was delivered quickly and with a smile. The place is clean and well kept. The only thing we wished for were a more subdued kind of bed light plus a sharp kitchen knife for lemons etc. – we only found a bread knife. Make sure you visit Anna’s restaurant just along the waterfront, the food is delicious, and Anna and her staff are very kind and welcoming.

Magnifique maison donnant directement sur la mer avec terrasses, jardin. Extrêmement propre et confortable. Vue splendide sur la mer et accueil très chaleureux de Umberto. Un des meilleurs Airbnb que l on a loué !
