My stay in Brunei was pleasant. The host Sasha was friendly and easily reachable. The house was clean and equipped with basic cooking amenities, perfect for a long-term stay.

I was worried about where I would room up in Brunei, but Sasha happily quelled those fears. Not only did she offer to pick me up from the airport, she made sure I was well taken care of throughout the duration of my stay. The location itself was great. There is a convenience store mere steps away, and any major destination in Brunei a short drive. If you like walking, there's many beautiful roads to hike and places within an hour walk (Gadong Mall for example), just be wary of the lack of sidewalk. Not so much because of cars (they will give you a wide berth or even stop to see if you need a ride), but because of any hazards on the side of the road. The room was very spacious and well stocked and ventilated. At no point throughout my stay was I uncomfortable because of the room itself. Plenty of appliances for preparing food, coffee and tee. The bathroom was one of the better ones in my travels in Asia. Sasha even had the maid touch up my room halfway through my visit, with the option to have it cleaned on request. If you do wish for some touring and sightseeing, Sasha was very glad to help me get in contact with the right person, where I was taken on a tour of the local mosques/masjids, as well as the town center. Coming from other South East Asian countries, my warning to those visiting is to be wary of cab prices and bus times. Car ownership is practically a requirement due to the country's subpar transit system and expensive, government mandated taxi fares. If you plan on moving a lot, I would very much recommend car rental, as I couldn't find a way to purchase a moped as I could in other locations. All in all, I couldn't have made a better choice in where to stay in Brunei. The room was great, the hostess quite hospitable, and the time very memorable.

Sasha responded to my request within the hour and have always been easy to contact. She offered to pick us up from the airport though we already have someone picking us up. The place is very neat and clean and has all the amenities, right down to toiletries! It is a quiet neighbourhood so you can have a good sleep. Additionally it is not too far to go to the Main Gadong area. Highly recommend and the best host so far!
