Superbe séjour, le logement est moderne et fonctionnel, très agréable a vivre. Visite des canards et des cygnes. Immersion total dans la nature et proche de toutes commodités a Giethoorn a 5mn en voiture. Je recommande.
My family of four had such a relaxing couple of nights in Giethoorn thanks Marja and Theo. The house is stunning, super clean, no clutter but very well equipped. It also felt very comfortable for me and my kids. The kids loved the patio and fire place outside along with their duck friends they made. It was so so quiet and serene which was much needed after a busy couple of days touring the rest of the country and before. We headed into Amsterdam. You must absolutely rent the sloop, or little boat, although it is gas powered and definitely recommend you be comfortable with that. In town they have electric ones you can rent and are everywhere. Loved riding the peaceful canal down to the beautiful area of Gierthoorn although we were there in early April and I cannot imagine the chaos of summer. Absolutely book this houseboat to put some space between you and the town although super easy to get there quickly. Beds were comfy and everything worked perfectly!

Theo, Marja and our daughter Zoë. In 2007 we moved to Bali with our 8-year-old daughter for 5 years. Life in another country, living in a tropical climate, but above all may live and stay in a villa on the beach of Lovina Beach in Northern Bali is a dream for everyone, but for us as a family a reality. Back in The Netherlands we learned to love the rain and cold weather again. Used our time to build a house boat in Giethoorn by hand. Enjoy the nature of the Natural Park Weerribben-Wieden and love living at the water again. In between all building moments we do love to travel and explore the world.
