This place is absolutely beautiful! Spacious, multiple decks, private, well decorated. The only reason this is not a 5-star review is some miscommunication on finding the place, getting in, and a few missing items on arrival. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and Opatija overall!

Igor's place was everything we expected - and more. The apartment was large, clean and perfectly located, with stunning views across the ocean from either one of the two spacious and private balconies. Just minutes away from great swimming piers, and literally next door to a supermarket, the apartment was also ideally located between Opatjia and Icici - an extremely nice 10-15 minute walk to either, along the famous promenade path, which is just steps away. Igor and his wife were ideal hosts. We arrived in a thunderstorm, having been dropped off on the wrong street, thanks to Airbnb's incorrect map information (rather than an incorrect address) and Igor and his wife came out to find us - with umbrellas! The wine for the adults and orange juice for the kids were also a nice touch. If - or rather when - we return to this area, this will be the first apartment we look for.

Igor and his wife were most wonderful, welcoming and easygoing. The place is HUGE, bigger than the descriptions, literally four balconies (three with sea view, one "internal"), comfy beds, clean linens, plenty of towels, etc. Lots of useful things in the kitchen, appliances, spices, utensils for cooking, etc. We locked ourselves out for a bit, they were instantly available with extra keys, super easygoing and very friendly. Really a gem! They also create little surprises, tourist guides, maps, art all over the apartment, even chilled, homemade grappa in the fridge. Definitely going back.
