A true home away from home. Stephen & Kathy are welcoming hosts and make great recommendations on places go, see and eat. The daily breakfast is OUTSTANDING! The blueberry scones & avocado toast were my favorite. They are a must have! Beautifully located in a community just 1 mile from downtown Summerville. I highly recommend the Dogwood House for your Airbnb stay!

If your looking for quiet and comfort this is the place for you. We felt welcomed to go about the entire house and feel at home. Our hosts, Stephen and Kathy made wonderful breakfasts designs around our food preferences. There were plenty of flyers of things to do and Stephen and Kathy gave us plenty of information about them. They even supplied us with beach chairs.

Our stay at Dogwood house was just fantastic, Kathy & Stephen are the most wonderful and welcoming hosts. We stayed for two nights in the queen bed room, and had a wonderful bathroom with shower and double vanity. The entire house was absolutely spotless and had everything you could possibly need. Kathy and Stephen made us a wonderful breakfast both mornings and there was tea and coffee available at any time. The area is a lovely neighborhood and Summerville Main Street has a lovely small town vibe with a nice cafe, restaurants and wine bars. If you’re there on a Saturday morning I would recommend the Summerville farmers market. Close enough to drive into Charleston and surrounding plantations and Kathy & Stephen we’re very happy to offer suggestions for places to eat and things to see. We loved getting to know Kathy & Stephen during our stay and would highly recommend staying at Dogwood house.

We had a wonderful stay from arrival to departure. The breakfasts were delicious and they went the extra mile to accommodate our vegan diet. On our departure day, they made a fantastic to go breakfast for our 7 am check out. The bed was wonderful (my husband wants the make and model) and the screen porch was a private place to read and relax. At first were hesitant to book due to the distance to Charleston, but the drive was a breeze and historic Summerville offered good dining options for our short stay. We highly recommend!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying with Kathy and Stephen. We love AirBnB and enjoy getting to know the hosts when the occasion presents itself — this was the case with them! They were easy to get in touch with prior to our stay and very friendly and helpful throughout the duration of our stay. This was our first experience with AirBnB Plus and we loved it! The home was lovely, in a nice neighborhood, about a 25-30 min drive to downtown Charleston, and the breakfast they provided was delicious :) They are very attentive to details and truly love meeting all their guests! We will certainly try to stay with them during our visits in the area.
