We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was extremely comfortable with a beautiful yard and view, making our stay restful and refreshing. We had five kids and there was plenty of space for us inside, board games for them to play and yard games as well, and lots for them to explore outside. Dan was very welcoming and helpful, quick to answer questions and eager to offer local suggestions. We didn't venture much into Stonington, but took a nearby hike at the quarry and drove up to Acadia a few times as well. We really loved the quiet escape for the busyness of life and the beauty of the island!

I'd really recommend the place. It was nice and peacefull. We needed some rest and we got it. We hope to go back in the near future. 5 stars with no doubt.

Dan's place was the perfect peaceful getaway. The home was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with gorgeous views from literally every window (the cove, and gardens that looked lovely even this late in the season). It's a spacious house, but still felt cozy and inviting for just the two of us and our pup. And Dan was wonderful about providing local recommendations for restaurants, grocery stores and activities. Highly recommend if you're looking to get away from it all and relax in nature but with all the comforts of home.

Wow what a stay! The house is fantastic, the surroundings are fantastic and Dan is a fantastic host! The beauty of the property is top notch with very peaceful surroundings. A great place to relax and recharge. Stonnington and Deer Isle Town are only 2-3 miles away, with Acadia National Park only one and a half hours of a beautiful drive away. Loved every minute of our stay and would love to come back!

We recently had the most incredible stay at this Airbnb in Deer Isle. It’s hard to find words to describe how wonderful our experience was. The location was incredibly private, offering us the tranquility we needed, and the house itself exceeded all expectations - it was even better than the photos portrayed. The hosts provided excellent recommendations that added so much value to our trip. The house had everything we needed for our stay. The property is truly breathtaking. We spent time exploring Deer Isle and it was a wonderful place. This trip was particularly special for my family and me, as it came 6 months after the loss of our mother. We are immensely grateful for this experience and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.
