My stay in Mary’s property was truly lovely. The house itself is comfortable to stay in with a/c and a mosquito net ensuring a good night’s sleep. There is a kitchen with plenty of equipment- pots/pans/blender/water purifier. It is in a nice quiet village with a couple of shops nearby but rickshaws are able to be arranged to get to the local train station. The gardens of the house are beautiful, with a swing, lots of banana and jackfruit trees and an area to sit outside with a fan. Mary was very helpful and responded very quickly and called in workers if anything needed fixing. The neighbours (Biji ans Benny and family) who live next to the property were so kind and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. They cooked the most amazing food for me and showed me the beautiful river and farms nearby as well as taking me to an amazing festival at the local temple. They also taught me the local language (Malayalam) and made my stay very special. 😊

Nice countryside house, with all necessary for life. Simple and quiet. There is a supermarket in walking distance, as well as small shops with fruits and vegetables. Near the house there are two small shops where you can buy food. The owner is very friendly and always ready to help. The neighbors are wonderful people, they fed us with the local food (homemade) and always brought some new dishes to try. Real Indian life insight the country, not touristic, and we were happy to stay for 1 month in such a unique place!

A true homestay! It is in a lovely village called Annanad, about an hour from Thrissur. I spent 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. Within walking distance are grocery shops, temples and beautiful nature walks. I enjoyed cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and spending the day outside on the patio, working (happy about reliable WIFI), reading and doing yoga. The neighbours are real gems, always ready to help. They came over daily and briefly checked in if I needed anything. Some outlets in the garden are shared. It was very nice to be with such hospitable people. You will love it here if you like quiet, rural, but not isolation, with sufficient infrastructure. Renting the 2-3 kutiyas together could be great for a family or group. Or visist solo - anyhow it is a great, safe and cozy place to unwind.

Mary's place is absolutely gorgeous. Well equipped, even for long stays, the place has everything needed for a quiet getaway. I have lived in a few Airbnb's around India and in the UK, and never have I seen a place designed and curated as thoughtfully as this. It instantly feels like home, more so because of the warm hospitality and welcome offered by Mary herself. We arrived at Kochi airport around noon and were welcomed with a home made traditional Kerala lunch, which exceeded all our expectations. A perfect host, she offered us the best local recommendations and made sure we had our privacy when needed. She also communicated with us prior to our stay and during, such that we were always informed about what to expect. We will always remember Mary and her place warmly, and look forward to staying there again, for longer. PS: A special word must be put in for the comfortable mattress. I have never slept better and a good night's sleep makes all the difference when travelling.
