Rachelle's place is just like the pictures. It's is truly a jungle setting and being off the grid so to speak really lets you relax. The kitchen was well equipped, the rooms were clean and the bed was oh so comfortable! If your desire is to be close to Volcano National Park and be in a park like setting, this is the place.

Overall it was a really good house in a beautiful little manicured jungle. We loved walking around, seeing the animals, and even the loudish frogs at night. We had 2 main issues. The first was a ridiculous 29 item cleaning list including things like "Dust whole house: shelves, cabinets, walls, furniture", scrubbing the tub, scrubbing the inside of the oven, and cleaning UNDER the bed. I am fine doing some basic cleaning and keeping things tidy but it's ridiculous to expect us to completely deep clean the house especially when we've paid a substantial cleaning fee. Our other issue was that there was no blind on the large window that the shower is next to. So when they were out working on the neighboring building, my girlfriend couldn't comfortably use the shower without being exposed.

Two of my best friends and I stayed at Rachelle’s place for 5 days. We absolutely loved it! The Jungalow was peaceful, secluded, spacious and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the animals on the property including the goat, bunny, two ducks and a very affectionate cat. The outdoor shower was a highlight. Even though the Jungalow is off grid, we had no problems with power or water. All our showers were hot! Rachelle was readily available to answer any questions we had. We would definitely recommend this place and will probably be back!
