Marco was a great host, very responsive and left great suggestions for food and drinks. The space is small but workable; it could use a few updates and paint. The balcony was the best part!

Marco's place is a great base of operations for your Rome stay. Trastevere might be a little further from the main attractions - forum, colloseum, museums, gardens, etc - but it has its own stuff to do on top of everything. The main streets are quite busy but it's nice to get to the quieter side streets and explore. The apartment itself has a great balcony, everything you'd need to have a comfortable stay and feel like you're really living in the neighborhood. Comfortable bed, well appointed kitchen, umbrellas, storage, everything. So great. The one thing is that the shower (specifically the way you get in the shower) is a little tight. Not a dealbreaker by any means but if you're a bigger person you may want to consider another spot.

Marco was very helpful and communicated well but the space needs maintenance. The space smells dingy especially the closets. My clean clothes that were stored in the dresser picked up this smell and needed to be aired out. I appreciate the vintage of the apartment and its details and quirks that reflect its age, but a fresh coat of paint, deep clean of the closets and a coat of lacquer would help the space smell and look clean. The shower is comically small. If you are in the least bit overweight you simply will not fit. The opening is about 12”. The hot water barely lasts for 2 showers. The host and location are great! With very little effort this space could be greatly improved
