Loved the Salt box hideaway. Cosy, quiet location right on the water with lots of friendly ducks to greet us. Cupboards well stocked with supplies, port, lovely comfy bed and breakfast bar overlooking the water. Bit too cold to make use of the kayaks and bbq but loved roasting marshmallows in the fire pit with a skyful of stars above. Also you should definitely check out 42 degree’s restaurant. Fantastic all you can eat seafood buffet and the play “the ship that never was” was a fun nights entertainment.

We couldn't have been happier with our accommodation. It was tiny but had everything we could wish for and was very comfortable. The outdoor fire pit was a bonus and made our evening even more perfect. Such a wonderful way to spend an evening relaxing on the lake. We even had the bonus of watching a mumma duck and her six babies waddling around.

Michelle's lovely hideaway was gorgeous. The bed was very comfy and the surrounds were delightful, right down to the friendly ducks who loved to visit us while we sat on the deck. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Stunning location with lapping waves, a well stocked yummy kitchen and a fun and friendly host. I felt like I could’ve written a novel and never left. Special place indeed, that clearly has alot of love put into it, to make it comfortable and modern for guests. Thanks for a very memorable stay!

Michelle is an incredible host, from the moment you first connect with her, she makes you feel very supported. There were very detailed clear instructions on everyone from the checkin, to the fire pit, and the local restaurants. Michelle makes you feel very welcome, from leaving a little bottle of port, bread and eggs for breakfast, every spread for toast you could ever want, a range of coffee and tea options, fresh milk, to having fire lighters and matches ready for the fire. This beach box hideaway is stunning, it’s so cosy, it’s silent and peaceful, you wake up to the sound of the waves, and go to sleep to the sound of the waves. You can enjoy some local ducks that waddle away all day, they provide so much entertainment. Looking out into the sea with a fire lit at night was so magical. I came to the Saltbox burnt out from city life and left with a new lease on life. Forever grateful for you Michelle and this beautiful hideaway, I really do look forward to visiting again!!

Many visitors to the wild West Coasters aren't aware of Lettes Bay's quaint surroundings and heritage-listed shacks; the ones built in the early 1900s by hard-working employees from the Mt Lyell Railway and Queenstown Mine. They positioned them right by the water's edge for their families to enjoy on days of rest. We understand the importance of taking time out to rejuvenate. Our hideaway is a reward for all that hard work, and a place to spend quality time with each other, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We think it's one of the most magical places in Tasmania and hope it casts its magic spell on you too. Michelle
