Our stay at Amaltheia was overall pretty good. Location: Beautiful location with a view, within steps from the beach. However, Agios Dimitrios is far from Chora and other popular beaches. I would highly recommend this place if you want to do little exploring or if you're fine driving around. The house: This may have been the cleanest Airbnb I have ever visited. The house was spotless and fully equipped with linen and cookware. It is true that the mattresses are a bit on the hard side so be prepared if you have a particular preference. The deal breaker for us was that the kitchen was lacking even the basics for cooking (salt, pepper sugar, etc), and that there is no washer for clothes. That made our stay quite inconvenient. There is also no parking on premise and we had to carry our heavy suitcases for about 50 meters. I would definitely recommend this place but check with the host before visiting that it meets your expectations.

Do not make the MISTAKE . First I have to say this. I booked on the 8/7/23 for 9-15/7/23 As soon as I arrived and realized the situation next morning I asked from the owner my money back so I could find somewhere else more proper to stay. The response was negative and with irony they suggested that I should stay there. On day three I left after trying through Airbnb app to get my money back with no success . They have no furniture to lay down anywhere. Only 6 plastic chairs and 4 stools The beds don’t fit the rooms leaving a 35cm space to move around and the mattress feels like concrete 1980s old It was a nightmare staying there 3 days. If I was paid 200€/night I wouldn’t stay there. Instead I paid 6 and left on the third with low back pain and a headache for how people deceive clients in order to make a profit. Shame on them. Never before in my life had this kind of issue anywhere. Don’t book there. !!!

Villa molto curata in tutti i dettagli. Infissi nuovi e zanzariere nelle finestre delle camere e del bagno. Cucina perfettamente attrezzata. Pulizia ottima con cambio di biancheria a metà settimana. Molto bello il patio esterno con tavolo grande dove pranzare con sdraio e lavatoio. Lavatrice non presente. A pochi metri dal mare nel punto più bello dell’isola. In un attimo dalla spiaggia si può tornare in casa per ogni necessità. C’è un bar che offre anche insalate e panini anche serviti in spiaggia dove ci sono lettini e ombrelloni e c’è un ristorante con cucina greca aperto anche per colazione. Il primo supermercato e altri ristoranti sono a circa dieci minuti in macchina quindi necessaria La spiaggia è di piccoli ciottoli. Posto Ideale per rilassarsi e godersi il mare dall’alba al tramonto.

Comfortable and calm holiday house, 2 steps from beautiful Agios Dimitros beach. The house is functional and clean, the large terrace with a nice view is the big plus. You have to leave your car a little further down, the house is accessible on foot only, what is not a problem. Many people come to the beach during the day only (we were there in July). Communication was kind of strict minimum.
