Salvatore's place is absolutely wonderful. It's a beautiful old villa in a lush country side. We had the whole place to ourselves. The villa is well cared of, fully equipped and tastefully decorated. We felt lucky to have stayed there, it's definitely one of the highlights of our visit to Sicily.

La Roba is a beautiful expansive property perched atop a hillside with a view of the Mediterranean in the distance. The home is clean and spacious, and well-stocked. Salvatore was the consummate host. He accommodated our late arrival, and had a pizza ordered & delivered, which was much appreciated by hungry travelers! He was very attentive and helpful and checked in on us each day to be sure we had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and the area was quiet for the most part. We did hear dogs barking at night from a neighboring property, which no one had any control over, but they eventually stopped. It was an easy drive to Agrigento to see the Valle dei Tempii, Scala dei Turchi, and the sea. We mostly appreciated Salvatore's kindness towards us. He shared Sicilian culture with us, and left us with a few things we didn't expect that we will cherish, always. Any guest would be fortunate to stay at such a beautiful property with such a nice host. We would visit again :) Grazie, Salvatore! Lynda & Hanna Rose

Airbnb should invent a new category for Salvatore. He is not so much a Super host as a Sooper-dooper host. Everything about our stay in Castrofilippo was first-rate:the enormous space;the excellent kitchen;the beautiful views;the comfy bed;the plentiful hot water;the abundant provisions (including an enormous bunch of freshly-picked grapes. )All in all, what's not to rave about??

We had the most wonderful experience staying in this house, it is beautiful, clean, well-equipped, perfectly located for both beaches and historical sites such as Valle dei Templi. Salvatore was an incredibly considerate host both before and during our stay. The locals in Castrofilippo were very hospitable and we loved Pizzeria Jack! We cannot wait to stay again and would recommend the house to anyone thinking of visiting Sicily.

This is THE BEST of the best!!!!! Salvatore's house is just wonderful. Large and cool with constant breezes, beautiful views, historical interest both in the house and its furnishings. The kitchen is very well appointed and full of kindnesses - the refrigerator was full of fresh milk, fruit juices and yoghurts, butter - everything you could wish for. Salvatore was the most charming host and made us feel extremely welcome. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the water piping hot, the wifi and all electrics worked perfectly. I cannot recommend La Roba di Peppa Piraneo highly enough.
