La vue est superbe et les 3 chambres sont grandes avec sdb. Pour 8 max c'est au top. Le divan est convertible et confortable. La climatisation est neuve. La piscine est grande et éclairé, magnifique prestation. Places de parking privé.

Douro Nest Top Apartment: We stayed at the Douro Nest for 10 days in July 2022. Views from the property are truly breathtaking and the spacious, air conditioned accommodation - 2 doubles, 1 twin, living area, dining area, kitchen, 2 large balconies, 4 bathrooms  and pool - make great use of the valley-side location. Parking enough for two cars is a real bonus. The showers are good, beds are large and comfortable, plenty of charge/power points and the air conditioning works very well in the bedrooms. Solid shutters help keep out the heat too. Antonio who was looking after the grounds and property is very sweet. We used Google Translate app to get around our lack of Portuguese!  He gave us a bottle of Vinho Verde made from grapes grown on the property when we arrived and even gave us a second bottle when we told him it was my husband’s 50th birthday! Such a sweet gesture. He also shared some plums and bell peppers that he was growing in a garden nearby. He also arranged for multiple broken shutter brackets to be fixed quickly. The region is stunning and there is plenty to do. Wine tasting, mini harbour, boat trips, trains, water sports at Porto de Rei, waterparks are only an hour's drive. Supermarkets are within 8 min drive too. We would recommend The Gentleman Italian Restaurant in Resende. Also the 2hr Douro traditional Rabelo boat tours by Magnifo Douro leaving from Pinhão was well organised. The 'river park' at Parque Fluvial de Porto de Rei was a real find. Bastião Da Natureza provide water sport activity there, they're excellent, safety conscious and well equipped. Kayaking, jet skiing, and being pulled along by a jet ski on an inflatable banana are some of their very reasonably priced services. The Douro River's water is very calm, consistent and accessible making this river park worth a revisit for us. Compared to the large waterparks and their lengthy queues, moderate expense and throngs of people, Porto de Rei was extremely relaxed, spacious, cost effective and frequented by locals for picnicking/sunbathing. It even has a pool, nearby bar, parking refreshments. A real find for us with our two teenagers. We found the the people of the region as a whole to be helpful and relaxed. We managed to get by with little Portuguese. We found prices very reasonable for most things compared to UK at least. Overall our visit to Resende was  enhanced by our stay at this Douro Nest apartment: the pool and views are great, the apt space is excellent. If there was something that needed attention, LivingWell and the caretaker moved to sort. They have been open to our  suggestions that we feel might enhance stays at Douro Nest even further. We would recommend this place to stay and will hopefully visit again ourselves.

O alojamento está bem situado e é bastante confortável para 6 adultos, com uma sala grande e cozinha (embora não muito bem equipada para 6 pessoas). Boas varandas para aproveitar as excelentes vistas sobre o douro. O senhor que nos recebe é muito simpático e ofereceu um cabaz de cerejas e um copo de vinho…

This is a five star property but our experience was one star. This rental is the second and third stories of a beautiful house overlooking the river and valley. There is a lower unit that is also rented out and your experience will be based on the consideration of those who stay there. If you check the fine print, they do accept pets and during our stay there was an aggressive, noisy dog that ruined the peace and quiet of the area. The dog set off the neighbour's dog so it became a chorus of dog barking, some nights even past midnight. It would growl and lunge at us and barked much of the day. Also note that their policy says no smoking but this does not mean outside. The smoke blew in our faces while trying to enjoy dinner a few nights. The pool is fantastic and location is great. Communications were very poor as the caretaker of the property spoke no English but was a very friendly man. He'd share some of the wine he makes on the property itself.

We had a great time in Douro Nest. Great location and we really liked the apartment.
