A curta distância, percorrível a pé, existem restaurantes, cafés e bares, minimercado, centro estético, etc., no entanto o transporte público para outras localidades é limitado, pelo que é aconselhável alugar um carro se se deseja visitar outras cidades.
This location will allow you to enjoy the beach and the sunshine both through long walks on the seaside or just by sitting at a local kiosk and sipping a drink or tasting typical food while watching a beautiful panorama. Enjoy a postcard sunset at your doorstep! In the neighbourhood you can find restaurants, bars, cafés and mini markets: everything is within walking distance. Although you can walk anywhere the public transports are very limited so we advise the guests to rent a car during their stay to move around the region.

In Vieira de Leiria (3 km ca.) there are supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, shops, bank, ATM; in Monte Real (10 km) you can visit the ruins of an ancient medieval castle and lose yourself in the hot springs park.

Na região é possível visitar outras praias famosas como a Nazaré e a Praia do Norte, famosa pelas suas ondas gigantes, São Pedro de Moel e a bela baía de São Martinho do Porto. Na Marinha Grande, pode-se visitar o Museu do Vidro entre outras atraçoes.
Leiria, capital do distrito, dista cerca de 30 km e oferece todas as comodidades de uma grande cidade: museus, lojas, discotecas, bares, restaurantes, hospital, rent-a-car, etc .. Outros locais que merecem uma visita são o Mosteiro da Batalha (património Mundial UNESCO), o Santuário de Fátima apenas a 50 km, Óbidos e o Mosteiro de Alcobaça.

ACESSIBILIDADE
Praia da Vieira está localizada a cerca de 150km de Lisboa e cerca de 180km do Porto. Os principais acessos às 3 grandes autostradas distam cerca de 15/20m: a A17 que consente de chegar ao Porto num par de horas; a A8 que permite chegar a Lisboa em cerca de uma hora e meia; a A1 que liga Lisboa com Porto, via Leiria.

This location will allow you to visit some of the most famous Portuguese beaches such as Nazaré and Praia do Norte with its giant waves. Also São Pedro de Moel and the beautiful São Martinho bay are very close. In Marina Grande you can visit the Crystal museum. Leiria, which is the district capital, is at 30 km and offers all the facilities of a big city: museums, shops, clubs, bars, restaurants, hospital, rent a car, etc. Also the Abbey of Batalha, which is part of the UNESCO word heritage, is in the area as well as the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Fatima (50 km). Finally Óbidos and the Abbey of Alcobaça are worth a visit.

Accessibility
Praia de Vieira is at half way between Lisbon and Porto. At 15/20 km you can find the access to three main motorways: A 17 which allows you to go to Porto in a couple of hours, A8 which allows you to go to Lisbon in 1,5h and the A1 which links Lisbon to Porto.
