Enjoyed a peaceful, quiet autumn weekend at Katie’s. We actually want to come back during the summer! A wonderful retreat to disconnect from the hectic world, reconnect as a couple, just get away and experience a change of scenery. We loved the fire pit area on top of the comfortable accommodations. Treated myself to some spa time with the masks Katie provided!! Staunton is just about 10-15 minutes away with lots of things to do-we love the Frontier Culture Museum and Edelweiss German restaurant!! Loved every minute of our stay!!

Such a quiet, peaceful spot. Easy to unplug and just relax. Staunton is just down the road with great restaurants, history, and shopping, then you can retreat to Katie's peaceful countryside cottage and listen to the birds and the sound of the river. Bring a favorite book and style in. Highly recommend.

We were looking for a peaceful and quiet spot to escape to, and the cabin fit the bill perfectly. It's a lovely secluded location next to a small river (good fishing!), with lots of wildlife to watch. The cabin had everything we needed, and no wifi/phone reception, so it was great for unplugging from everyday life. Katie lived up to her billing as a superhost, and had provided thoughtful extra touches, such as fresh eggs and lovely fresh flowers. I love that rocks and paint were provided - I haven't painted in years, but it's so much fun! We're already planning when we can go back again. We only stayed for a long weekend this time, but the cabin would be a great base for exploring Shenandoah... if you can tear yourself away from the beautiful secluded location ;)

What a lovely escape. The cottage has everything you need. We were so glad to find a place that was "unplugged" and immersed in nature. We hung around the property reading, cooking, porch sitting, walking, talking to cows, and wading in the river. Bonfires at night under fields lit up by stars- what a dream! We even discussed simplifying our life to live more like this day to day. Beautiful place, rolling hills, and true relaxation. We want to come again. Thank you for sharing your cottage Katie!
