Heerlijk verblijf net buiten de stad in een rustige, groene omgeving met uitzicht op rijstvelden. De gastvrijheid van Wim en Phillip is fantastisch. Als je wil verteld de gastheer veel over het land en de cultuur. Hij organiseert een geweldig interessante tour waarbij je op plaatsen komt waar je als tourist nooit zal komen. Érg van genoten. Bijzonder is de heerlijke rijsttafel die je kan bestellen. Prima kamer met airco en een eenvoudige maar uitstekende badkamer. Ook de stad is goed en makkelijk bereikbaar met een taxi of scooter (10-15 minuten) de drukte van de stad en de rust van het platteland is hier een perfecte combinatie.

We had such a lovely stay at Wim and Phillip's place. You won't regret it - it takes no time to get to the city. The surroundings are so beautiful, and the house is very clean. They are so helpful and warm people. They helped us with booking tickets for the train, finding a driver etc. Erwan makes the best breakfast and dinner that u would not miss. There is a really nice restaurant just 5 minutes from there - beautiful rice-field view and cheap. We felt SO welcome! 💚
De stijlvol ingerichte riante Javaanse villa is een lust voor het oog. Als het nog niet op uw “bucket list” staat dan hoort het daar zeker op thuis. “theSawah” is geen gewone airBnb, het is een beleving. De hartelijkheid van de gastheren is ongeevenaard. Het huishoudelijk personeel zeer attend en behulpzaam. Aandacht verdient zeker ook de originele ontwerpen in de heren- en vrouwenmodelijn van de Javaanse modeontwerper Phillip.
Wim is a fantastic communicator. He gave lots of great advise about the city and it's surroundings. Their home is beautiful, the breakfast is hearty and Erwan was extremely nice and helpful when we were there. Would definitely recommend.

We are Wim & Phillip, a Dutch/Indonesian couple (1944/1967). We love to meet other openminded and interesting people from around the world. Wim is a retired tv journalist, Phillip a fashion designer. When we travel we hope our hosts can be friends. When we host we try to be that for them. Since we cannot find back the box to enter it: if we host a generous Western or Indonesian breakfast is included.
