Hilary hat uns trotz der späten Ankunft sehr freundlich begrüßt. Die Einrichtung war top sauber. Das Zimmer war durch das sonnige warme Wetter sehr warm. Teilweise konnte ein Ventilator Abhilfe schaffen. Für das Frühstück wurde vorab auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Dieses war äußerst abwechslungsreich und zusätzlich durch lokale Spezialitäten bereichert. Die Wohnung liegt direkt neben der sehenswerten Schleusentreppe des Kennet and Avon Kanals. Wir können Hilary und ihr Airbnb sehr empfehlen. Wir kommen gern wieder.

We stayed in Devizes on our way from Cornwall to Northants as a stop off and to do the local Quakers Walk parkrun, which was around 20mins walk away along the picturesque Kennet&Avon canal. The house is in an ideal location for walking on the canal towpaths, seeing the Caen Hill Lock Flight or visiting pubs, restaurants and shops in the town centre. Hilary and Keith were very welcoming and friendly hosts along with Mitzy the beautiful and gentle cat. The room is spacious, comfortable, clean and tidy with small thoughtful touches. The en-suite bathroom is a good size with a powerful shower. There was a delicious array of self serve breakfast options set out for us. We also visited the Rowdey Cow Ice Cream parlour / cafe which was 5 mins drive away (40mins walk). Definitely a highlight! 😋

Hilary and Keith both went over and above to help and are super-friendly. When Hilary discovered I went exploring in the wrong direction she corrected me! Very comfortable bed and with en suite containing everything you need for your stay. Tea/coffee available in the room with the little touches like a first aid kit. Most helpful but fortunately not needed. The room is quiet and the house itself is very well located. You are next to the canal in a few paces with the town centre is a 10 minute walk away. Perfectly positioned for anyone wanting to explore Devizes and the surrounding areas either by foot or car. Thanks both and hopefully see you when I'm next in the area.

Hilary and Keith were very welcoming and friendly. Their place was ideal for our 2 night stay to attend a family wedding. We are vegan and Hilary had ensured that we were well catered for at breakfast and we also had delicious vegan biscuits in our room. We would not hesitate to stay there again if needed.
