Hector and Isabel were great hosts. The apartment is right across the highway from the lake and the bus stops right in front if you wave it down. The kitchen is enough for minor cooking, and great affordable restaurants are close by. Hector was very patient with our limited Spanish and was a great teacher and help. We enjoyed this very relaxing location immensely and look forward to next time.

Hector was so responsive and easy to work with! He only speaks Spanish but was SOOO helpful with getting a taxi, renting scooters and anything we needed help with! He brought us fruit every day and on the last day Isabel made up a homemade tamale. It was great! I highly recommend staying there!

Great place directly across the street from the beach! If you're into water sports or the beach this is a great place! Hector was most accommodating and friendly.

If you come to Ometepe island you must stay here. The place is quiet and isolated right across from the beach, but an easy walk to a few resturants and a convenience stand. Hector and Isabel and their sons are so nice and friendly! If you need absolutely anything they will provide it no problem. Through them we got a taxi ride from and to the ferry, rented a motorcycle for two days (highly recommended) and got any support we needed during our stay. The room is beautiful, clean and cozy with a small kitchen. You are isolated from the family in your own unit but they live right below which is nice for assistance and friendly conversation. The beach views from the porch, exploring the island and strolls down to the convenience stand for fresh coconuts made this visit magical. Thank you so much! If we come back we will definitely be staying here!
