We spent almost two weeks on Chios. We loved the beautiful nature, clean beaches and the rich history of the Mastic Villages. Kalamoti is a good starting point for exploring the south part of the island. We spent 4 nights in Iaswnas’s house. The house is big. It has two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms which is very convenient. One of the bedrooms is not air-conditioned and it was hot in August. The house has outdoor dining area but also an inside one, so you can choose where to have your meals. The kitchen unfortunately is not very well equipped, missing some basic tools as chopping boards. The pots and pans were not clean. We didn’t met the owner but he was responsive to messages and very kind. The contact person however who had to meet us didn’t speak any English and this was a bit confusing. We liked the village and the house but this wasn’t our best choice on Chios.

The house is very nicely restored and well kept. Kalamoti is a small and peaceful village, where everybody knows everybody and very close to the pretty beach of Komi, out of the crowded tourist circuits.

Το σπιτι ειναι ακομα καλυτερο απο αυτο που φαινεται στις φωτογραφιες.Ειναι παρα πολυ ανετο!Πραγματικα εχει τα παντα που μπορει να χρειαστει καποιος,μεχρι και φαρμακειο για πρωτες βοηθειες.Σε καποιο προβλημα που ειχαμε ,που δεν ειχε σχεση με το σπιτι,το ενδιαφερον απο τους ιδιοκτητες ηταν αμεσο!Πολυ κοντα σε μικρο super market και ταβερνα.Το χωριο ομορφο και καθολου τουριστικο.Πολυ κοντα σε εξαιρετικες παραλιες.Ευχαριστουμε πολυ!

My parents stayed in this amazing house in Kalamoti! Mrs Eleni, Iaswnas' mother, really helped us with everything that we needed and the communication was exceptional! The house is very spacious and has a medieval traditional vibe. The terrace is amazing and the kitchen is fully equipped. Mrs Eleni was really kind and let us into the house really early in the morning, as the ship arrives to Chios around 5 am and also let us check out later. Thank you for everything!
