Un accueil chaleureux, Dario n'étant pas présent il a passé le relais à 2 personnes dont la femme de ménage à notre grande surprise d'ailleurs, elle nous a apporté un magnifique pain et confiture maison pour notre arrivée. La maison est très propre est agréable fraiche pour l'été parfait ! Provsende est un petit village typique et agréable. Nous avons toujours peur du regard des gens vis a vis de nos chiens et tout c'est très bien passé, il faut juste s'organiseravec Fernanda la femme de ménage pour qu'elle puisse faire son travaille tout les 3,4 jours les lits et serviette de bain son changer. On a été chouchouté comme dans un hôtel ! Le stationnement y est relativement facile, il faut juste ce faire au clocher les dimanches matins lors de la messe 😉. Merci pour tout !

I booked this space last-minute after my previous plans fell through. Dario saved the day! I was traveling with my wife, baby daughter and mother en route to a wedding and this place was perfect. I couldnt have asked for anything better :)

For my husband and I, Dario’s Airbnb was our favorite stay in Portugal. The house has lots of space (3 bedrooms, one bathroom, two living areas, and a well-equipped kitchen) and tons of character. While many people have commented on the church bells, which toll every 15 minutes, we found them an enjoyable part of the experience that allowed us to better appreciate country-life in Portugal. They did not impact our sleep. We also loved the fireplace. The January evenings in Provosende are cold, but with the fire we built and the two space heaters Dario provides, we had no issues. My only regret is not having more time to spend in Douro and at Dario’s.

Provesende is a picturesque town just a short drive above Pinhão. The house was cute, and we appreciated so much the generous amount of firewood that was provided. It kept us nice and toasty in the common areas while we rang in the new year. Thanks to a tip from the host, we ate fresh, homemade bread from the local bakery, and the cafe just down the street served wonderful coffee and port. The only downside to this lovely place was that the church is right next door, and the bells ring multiple times each hour. As much as we enjoyed our time here, we were all pretty worn out from not sleeping well by the time we left.
