Sehr nette Gastgeber, haben uns sogar mit einem Kindersitz ausgeholfen. Viele Spiele für Kinder vorhanden. Sehr viel Platz, für größere Gruppen gut geeignet.
We had a lovely time! 7 adults easily accommodated in the spacious house. Catherine was so helpful, giving us tips during our stay and gave us a lovely welcome. It is a lovely, peaceful location, perfect for exploring the lakes & mountains and not too far for day trips to Salzburg (1hr 15 mins by car) and Vienna (2hr 45min by car). We did a park & ride to get into the centre of Vienna; much cheaper than parking in the city centre which is expensive (as it would be in the UK for a city centre). We were surprised to find that some of the lakeside swimming spots were private (owned by a hotel) and so charged to swim. We found the free ones! Not a lot of difference between pound and euro, and buying food/eating out over there is more expensive so be prepared. We hired a car for our stay so we could travel around easily from Ebensee. All in all a delightful stay in a beautiful, peaceful place. Catherine & Robert were warm hosts and very welcoming, and their house is a must stay!

The house is very comfortable, and absolutely huge, the picture do not do full justice to how big it actually is. All four bed rooms are spacious and there is plenty of space in the living areas to spread out, making this ideal for travel with friend/family groups. The garden is great too and the large covered patio allows you to enjoy the outside even in the rain. Generally the house is super comfortable, with only one minor exception: the side-sleepers among us found the mattresses a bit too hard for comfort. Robert and his wife where very responsive and hospitable too. Highly recommendable for stays with small groups!

Your hosts are us - Robert & Catherine! Originally from England, we are delighted to call Austria home. It was our love of the spectacular mountains that drew us here. We both love being outdoors and the beautiful Salzkammergut (Lake District) is the ideal place to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the many activities on offer.
