Carol and her partner Fred were excellent hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our week at their place. The interior is stylish and uncluttered, whilst the outdoor space - stunning courtyard pool and seating area are lovely. The gite is also very well located to explore the Dordogne region, with Nontron, Brantome and the caves at Villars all within easy reach and well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Séjour parfait pour celui qui cherche le calme, la nature l espace, La maison est en bord de forêt, très bien équipée, très proche de nontron qui offre toutes commodités pratiques, commerces etc... Dans une région qui n est pas tellement touristique mais assurément riche à découvrir en terme de nature et de patrimoine. Certainement mes meilleures vacances. Et les hôtes (Frédéric tellement sympa.) Parfait pour les enfants

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce havre de paix en pleine nature. La maison est parfaitement équipée et les hôtes aux petits soins.

Excellent séjour passé au gîte de Carol avec nos 2 jeunes enfants. Nous avons profité de la piscine malgré un temps capricieux et nous nous sommes bien reposés. Merci aussi à Fred pour ses conseils sur les choses à voir dans les environs et les bons petits restos à faire comme celui de l’étang de Grand Estèphe.

We stayed at Carols place for summer holidays as a family of four., the accommodation was beautiful and a good size for us … with everything we could ever need.. The outdoor space with bbq, seating and pool was amazing with views over the fields and the kids couldn’t wait to get back to the cottage following days out.. we even saw a deer on one day.. and it was always lovely to sit out on the first floor the balcony at night .. fantastic dark skies and great views of the stars … Saint Martial de Valette centre was in walking distance ….20 mins approx with bar and restaurant…and supermarkets and shops are close by in Nontrom .. There was so much to do and see in the local area.. Carol and Fred were great hosts and the kids made a great friend in Alfie, Carols dog and when it was time to leave we didn’t want to come home ..
