I enjoyed my stay in the wood stove. Chris was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
This was one of the most unique places I’ve stayed! The electric wood stove against the fire wall paper was so cool to go to sleep to and it was just so cute and cozy. The bathrooms were also very clean and there was water available. We got there really late and were worried it was going to be hard to find the cabin and check in but all the instructions were very clear. Thanks for the great stay!!
What a great spot! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the stove 😁 and am thankful we were able to spend the night!
Really cool sleeping in a stove. I was really cold on arrival and the heater hit the spot. Coffee at the communal outdoor kitchen was a great touch. Had laundry and showers clean and easy to use. Restaurant had huge portions.

自我介绍
I am a local businessman who runs a campground and hostel with my sister, Shelly. I design and build burner units and transfer bins (for rural community trash) and wood cook stoves for real Alaskans. My factory is located just down the road, (two buildings east of campground, [campground is located at mile post 1313 Alaska Highway]), you are welcome to drop by and see how we make wood stoves. Life motto...I think maybe my first thought would be to, 'do no harm', or at least to the extent possible to lighten my impact on our environment. During the winter we close the campground facilities first. Then we close the Hostel sometime in October. So the 'Rustic' room upstairs at my house is the only option available late in the year.
