Lesley was very nice and even picked me up from the metro station and brought me back there after check out. The room is a bit small and I had to take a different one than the one I booked, but for one person it is okay. I would recommend - if the weather allows it- to spend much time in the garden anyways, it’s very relaxing out there. Same applies for the surroundings, great landscape with many canals, ducks and bikepaths. At the same time the outer Metro Station of Rotterdam „De Akkers“ is accessible by bike or if necessary by foot from the AirBnB if you rather feel like going to the city centre. Simonshaven is overall a good place to wind down and relax but still be in daytrip distance to Rotterdam and The Hague.

Zeer aangenaam verblijf in een zeer rustige omgeving met een erg vriendelijke gastvrouw! Het delen van alle faciliteiten was wel even wennen voor mij, maar uiteindelijk ging dit zeer vlot. Het huis is een prachtige pastorijwoning, hou er dus rekening mee dat je hierheen komt voor een authentieke touch, en minder voor hyper-moderne voorzieningen. Dit is een ideaal verblijf als je op zoek bent naar rust, eenvoud, en authenticiteit.

Lesleys place is one of a kind. The location was beautiful and felt almost like fairy tail destination. She was very accommodating and even offered me her bike to use going to the metro station and back. I definitely will be visiting again.

Very lovely stay with Lesley! Gorgeous surroundings, absolutely beautiful in summer with perfect places to swim, read, picnic, and relax. Lesley was very hospitable, picked me up from the train station and gave me directions. She offered many lifts and excellent conversation, absolutely everything you could want in a host for a place in the country. The decor is a little different in the room but still nice and the house & backyard is amazing. There is also another lodger named Marcel who lives there, not sure if that was in the listing but didn’t bother me. Thank you Lesley for the excellent stay & inspiration.
