The Cowshed is a fantastic place to stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. It was warm when required. Also has a stove if needed. It has all the facilities and extras needed for a self catering stay. The views are incredible and its the perfect accommodation to use as a base. Des was lovely to interact with and informative. The dog and cat are adorable! We loved staying here and would re-book anytime. We were sad to leave. Highly recommend.

Lovely place, would highly recommend, extremely peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Also close to town for groceries and several pubs. Des is a wonderful host, hoping to return! Luna (the dog) is a sweetheart!

Des’ place is nestled in a beautiful location in the Burren, just outside of the cute village of Corofin overlooking Lough Atedaun. The country property and farm is idyllic and well manicured. Des and his friendly dog, Luna, were gracious and welcoming hosts! Our 8 year old had a blast playing with Luna each morning! The home is super cozy and well kept and we enjoyed the wood burning stove almost every evening. This is a terrific location for exploring the Wild Atlantic West between Galway and the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. The beds were comfy, the shower was perfect, and the kitchen was a nice size for a family. Highly recommend Des’ home for a stay!

This was our second stay at Des's in a six month period, and it was as wonderful as the first time. When you drive into the property, there is a sense of being home, and when you step into the cottage, you are home. It is warm, inviting, light, well-appointed, comfortable, private, and exactly what we needed for our family vacation. We took advantage of both the private aspect of the cottage and the proximity to local places. It may seem remote, but once you're out in the wild, it is so wonderful to come back to such a peaceful setting. Not to mention the wonderful greeting from Luna, their wonderful dog. We will be back!

We had a fantastic 4 day stay at “The Old Cowshed”. Perfectly situated close to Ennis and The Burren. The location is very scenic and really well suited to families with kids. The house was very spacious, immaculate and well laid out and the best equipped house we’ve stayed at. Des was super helpful and responsive. Des suggested we try the Lough Avalla walk and would highly recommend this to other families - definitely a highlight of the trip. We’ll definitely be back!
