Had a great time staying here. Hilda was a great host, getting a taxi to pick me up from the airport and a driver to pick me up from the ferry when I arrived at caye caulker. Then she gave me a lot of recommendations and explained the layout of the island and things to do. The room is spacious and has kitchen supplies, though I didn’t cook or use any. There is a decent sized fridge in the room. The room gets warm but the 2 provided fans help a lot. You might see some lizards roaming around but they’re very small and don’t get in the way, plus it’s Belize so it’s kind of expected to see some of that kind of stuff. Overall happy with the stay and I’d recommend it to others looking for an affordable place to stay on the island which is far enough away from the main road to not be too noisy at night, but also just a few minute walk to a lot of nice restaurants and stores.
Hilda is a great host. She was helpful at check in and was helpful via comms apps when there was a query. I met her and some members of her family several times and everyone was lovely. And as importantly, my privacy was respected too. Well recommended.
