Poor experience.Not able to access property on time. I arrived 15.40pm,sent away as cleaning was still taking place. Returned hour later and had to stand waiting as still cleaning. The cottage was poorly maintained, suffering neglect,a real shame as it could be a stunning property.The only functioning shower accessed through a bedroom, which didn’t suit our needs at all. We battled with flies, I suspect a problem inside house as we had all windows closed once we’d got all the flies out,and still woke up to flies in every room. General cleanliness was poor, crumbs and a dead spider on the kitchen top. An unpleasant smell in the utility room was present. I chose to leave early, sent dianna a message to explain we weren’t satisfied which had no response. Air BNB resolved issue, received partial refund. With some care this place could be stunning, as it well placed for country walks, pubs, peaceful location. Would not stay again

A beautifully situated cottage with character. I was greeted upon arrival and soon got myself settled in. I found everything I needed during my stay and also had a great nights sleep. I really enjoyed my time here, both the cottage and location are stunning.

We was specifically was looking for a countryside retreat to get away from it all and this place ticked all the boxes! Its a beautiful cottage with ample space and grounds for our little boy to run around with beautiful views. (We particularly enjoyed watching the horses that back onto the garden and geese that fly regularly overhead.) In regards to the previous negative reviews regarding cleanliness, yes there are cobwebs but this is a cottage in the countryside. Its rustic but we came expecting that. Its all part of its charm. We really enjoyed it and would return again. As soon as we are able to.

Wow, what a location! Dianna was a great host and gave me lots of information about the local area. Will definitely be staying again, hopefully soon.

I had read the reviews about cleanliness of this house but wanted to give the host the benefit of the doubt. BUT After finding a dirty fridge with mould, dirty kitchen surfaces, previous guests dirty pants in wardrobe, sticky substance on a bed sheet, Cobwebs and dusty and unhoovered floors I sadly had to agree with previous guests. We ate breakfast off paper plates to avoid using the plates! The house itself is lovely and a great size and so is the setting but the cleanliness is awful. Very disappointing for £400! Host also didn’t respond to my concerns and had to involve Airbnb who refunded some money. Unfortunately we won’t be back.
