Beautiful cottage, lovely lake view and super peaceful. Glen was lovely and responsive. There were a few unclean aspects, garbage sitting at the bottom on the bin, dust and dirt around the house. But all in all, it was a great cottage and we had a wonderful stay. I would recommend it to others staying in or around Bancroft.

When reading the reviews, it was difficult to tell what to expect. Our experience was very good, not perfect, but we had an great time. The good was that there was plenty of space, and well equipped, more than enough dishes and kitchen items, the yard allowed some games, the lake is beautiful, the canoe and kayaks were used often and appreciated, there are cottages on either side but trees line both sides making it quite private (although we had wonderful neighbour's while we were there). We were mostly off of tech, there was great service and wifi available if that is important to you. The areas that could have improved it for me were the driveway first and foremost. I am a good driver and a bold one, a car WILL NOT go down, you definitely need a truck or all wheel drive SUV to make it up and down. I feel for the price paid, there could be some upgrading done, some deep cleaning but overall, very enjoyable and would definitely go back as long as we can borrow a truck again..

A very beautiful location right by the lake. It matched the description and had enough rooms to fit a larger group. Thank you to the host Glen who was VERY accommodating, we had a wonderful time!

The location is beautiful, and the lake was amazing. The cottage was unfortunately not as nice. We were looking for an authentic cottage experience, so we did not have high standards upon arrival. However, we did expect that the place would be clean, that all listed items and those in the pictures would be there, and that things would be in working order. This was often not the case. Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find the place dirty, especially the downstairs bathroom. Most rooms looked as though they hadn't even been swept, let alone cleaned. The outdoor chairs on the deck didn't have cushions, and the barbecue was dirty and did not work well. There was no dishwasher, pedal boat, or air hockey table. The dock was in very rough shape, tipping to the left and incredibly wobbly. The driveway was so steep and had so many potholes that we almost didn't get our cars out. We made the most of our time here but were definitely disappointed. We wouldn't recommend this place to others.

Our stay was peaceful, private and relaxing. There was lots to do with the kayaks that are supplied the dock to fish off of and the steps to the lake to just swim or float around. The kitchen was big and had everything we need to prepare our meals. There was a extra fridge in the basement for over stock of drinks or extra ice cream in the freezer. The 5 bedrooms for for my adult children and grand children were ample and there was fans in the upstairs bedrooms for night time with a massive L shaped couch and extra couch in the basement in front of the TV for the one afternoon that it rained for a few hours and we did a move marathon. The wifi is amazing if you need to check or hook your laptop up to the tv to use your Disney or Netflix. There is 1.5 bathrooms which is good with big groups. And the place was clean. It didn’t look like Martha Stewart scrubbed it with a tooth brush but it was tidy and everything had its place and it was just a comfy relaxed vibe the whole family enjoyed!
