Great home in a fantastic location! Our family really enjoyed staying in the home and it was even better then we’d hoped for. The location is the best I can imagine in Split, literally right off the ocean (with a private entrance to the pathway/ocean) and walkable to great food/downtown/coffee etc. Nearby breakfast spot Kats Deli is very good. The home is in great shape and the Air Conditioning worked very well. Pool was huge and lots of seating. We didn’t have any mosquitos during day and and dusk just be careful to use spray. Even then I’m sensitive to bugs and it wasn’t an issue at all. Very good communication from hosts at all stages and even though we booked very far out they were accommodating at all stages. The home is artfully decorated and has so much space it would probably be best enjoyed by a large family or adult couples. That said we have young children and they had a great time. If you visit Split we highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful historic estate home in a FANTASTIC location! We loved everything about this home. We were 4 couples traveling together and it was a perfect layout for all 8 of us. We loved walking over to Old Town every day and loved the fact that the home was right on the beautiful Adriatic Sea. Location, Location, LOCATION. The owners were fantastic and communicated very well with us every step of the way. They even went the extra mile stocking the kitchen with a number of food amenities and they even helped us schedule an in home COVID test for our group the day before we flew home back to the USA. The pool and hot tub were also absolutely beautiful but a quick note to those considering staying here. They are not heated. They only have a "thermal cover" which, if it isn't extremely warm weather, the pool and possibly the hot tub will be too cold to use.

Truly a unique and unforgettable stay. It is even better better than on the pictures and the feeling it gives you being royalty will last forever. Everything was spotless with 4 hours of house-keeping each day. Communication was perfect, pro-active and accommodating in our (challenging) needs. I would love to come back here one day to make new memories. If you can afford it, this is a no-brainer.

I rarely write reviews unless I have something that hasn't been repeated many times and when you have a property and hosts such as this, all of the great accolades have already been taken...for very good reason. What I would add however is that we are well versed, luxury travelers who usually stay at Four Seasons, Aman or Ritz Carlton type properties. If that is you, then this is your place...we felt like we were staying at in a Private Villa at a world class, 5-star resort. Kate and Vibor had a strong vision for what they wanted to achieve with this Villa from a design, style and finish point of view and the result is really stunning. You will appreciate their eye for quality and detail, you'll marvel at how effortlessly a 300 year old dining buffet blends with Eames Chairs and a gorgeous Frank Lloyd Wright dining table. In spite of this, the design is anything but eclectic. To the contrary, the entire Villa is a beautiful contrast of old and new that conveys a gorgeous and interesting continuity. Quality is apparent throughout and the attention to detail is quite impressive by any standard. While I often find older Villas uniquely charming, they also have inherent disadvantages that almost universally include terribly small and dated bathrooms and kitchens. Not only is that not an issue here, but the full Meile Kitchen was a work of art in and of itself and each bathroom has been thoughtfully and thoroughly updated. Kate and Vibor have put just as much attention into the guest experience, they are not mere property owners, they are incredible hosts. Little touches like pre-stocking necessities, providing guests with a portable wi-fi unit for use when they leave the house, expert and thorough housekeeping and too many other little conveniences and niceties to list. You simply couldn't ask for a better location from a beauty and convenience point of view. Easy and interesting 15 minute walk to old town but far enough from the mayhem that you feel like your in your own little corner of the world. We have never had a bad experience thru Airbnb but this Villa was, without a doubt, the most beautiful and effortless property we have experienced thus far in our travels and we cannot wait to return.
